Maria Svarbova is a Slovakian photographer who takes surreal photographs of people in Socialist-era public spaces. With her signature minimalist style, she focuses on color, composition, and atmosphere to harmonize the body with the surrounding architecture. The reason why I interested in her work is that her work makes me thinking about Ren Hang’s work, which is one of my favorite photographer.

I really like the different colors in each of her photos. I am very into environmental photography, so I love looking at other photographers' work. I think that her images get her point across simply and with very little effort. I love it the different ways she uses the human body against the different backgrounds in her work. Interesting.

回复删除I really like this artist! The repetition of the primary colors really make the overall piece aesthetically pleasing! Also, the repetition of the subject matter (with the 3 swimmers) also helps tie the whole thing together very well! The colors are very muted, which I like a lot! I'm very interested in looking more into this artist's works!
回复删除The composition of these pieces are very interesting! The use of primary colors and balance within the piece work to draw the viewer in and lead their eyes towards the center of each image. Very cool and fun to look at!
回复删除tonal contrast causes people's attention, the atmosphere is more peacelful when viewed from different perspectives.
回复删除I like this bright-colored and high saturation imagine style, it make young bodies more fresh and alive.
