        The emphasis of Botanical art is on the plant or flower but without the requirement for ALL the information required by the botanists. There's more of an emphasis on the aesthetic value to be found in the plant or flower        The purpose of the Botanical art was to record the image of the flowers when the camera technology was underdeveloped in 15th-18th centuries.

        Piet Mondrian, one of the founders of the Dutch modern movement 'De Stijl' , is recognized for the purity of his abstractions and methodical practice by which he arrived at them.
